Conflict Minerals
Conflict Mineral Policy
RMF has a long-term commitment to social justice, economic, environmental, and sustainable development.
As a part of this commitment, RMF is dedicated to ensuring that the tantalum, tin, tungsten, and gold (“conflict minerals”) used in our products do not directly or indirectly finance or benefit armed groups responsible for human rights abuses in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, adjoining countries, or other conflict-affected and high-risk areas.
RMF conducts due diligence on its supply chains in accordance with the OECD Due Diligence Guidance for Responsible Supply Chains of Minerals from Conflict-Affected and High-Risk Areas.
Under this policy, RMF expects all its suppliers to:
Conduct their business in conformance with the Responsible Business Alliance (RBA) Code of Conduct.
Source exclusively from smelters or refiners audited and approved by the Responsible Minerals Assurance Process (RMAP) or an equivalent program.
Exercise due diligence on their supply chains following OECD guidance and RBA standards.
RMF reviews supplier compliance with these objectives and, wherever possible, sources minerals from suppliers that meet these requirements
